It was our future daughter in law's biggest wish that AJ,
Naadir Ali Baba ti-n Abou Teka, would carry their wedding rings
at "their big day", in the civil registry office. on July 24, 15.

"Well," I said to Claudi, "fine, but you have to talk with the public office.
and ask if it is possible to have a dog there too." Luckily there was a very nice and tolerant lady, and the registrar said that this would not be a problem if the dog behaves!

Now AJ might not behave as he is a funny, curious little young tri Basenji male.

I agreed of course. I thought about how he could carry the rings,
and wondered if I should sew tiny bags to put them inside.
But then thought this would may be too complicared to get them out during the ceremony.
So, I decided to put them on a red ribbon.

As a surprise I thought AJ should wear a bow tie.
I talked about the marriage and everything with my sewing colleagues and they said,
"oh, you have to sew a red silken bow tie yourself".
As you can see on the pic, I did this! Found a wonderful black collar with pearls on it at a dog show and attached the tie bow on it. He looked sooo great!

During the ceremonie AJ was a really good boy, waiting for his turn by my side.
I was so busy watching over him that I totally forgot some tears, yes, it was the marriage of my only son!

While waiting and listening to the registrar, there was a clack, clack, and the ribbons opened and the rings fell down on the flour! I was red faced searching on the flour for the rings, AND AJ was trying to help.

I found them and put them back on the ribbon by the bow tie at AJ's neck.

Finally his part came and we went to the desk to give the rings to Claudi and Lars.

It was all sooo really exciting and AJ was the star besides the married couple.
After the official part we had a very nice celebration with all guests at a wonderful inn.

The EXTRA-ORDINARY cake!
