Susan - great job as always on the Wrinkler. I loved the Bubba Basenji story, and was only just a little confused if Jeans liver cleansing recipe was for Dennis or intended for Andiamo - either way, they both have been on a similar diet to that for many years!

2 things. First, the picture on the first page of the new Wrinkler is one of the funniest I've seen. It's an absolute treasure. Second, the back is fine after the surgery. I'm walking with little if any problems. However, the day after I came home from the hospital, I collapsed, probably from the anesthesia that must have damaged the ring finger on my left hand, the finger that was surgically repaired a month earlier for trigger finger. Now, there may be some ligament damage. Something I may have to live with.

The new May publication is wonderful as usual Susan. You put a lot of work and love into the Club. I love Tutsi's new bed; you could start manufacturing these for dog beds. I recommend red satin pillow inside

We enjoyed Katie Campbell's article very much and would love the opportunity to publish it in The Western Yodel. Would that be all right with you? If it isn't too cheeky, we would also love to share your photo of the sunbathing Apu clan (the pack on the rock) with our readers, with due acknowledgement of course.
Looking around the home office from where we write this email, we have Amelia looking down on us, next to one of your gouaches of Occhi, Trill and Hip-Hop (Happy New Year 08/09). The Woodstock hippy bear also has a place!

I read the May Wrinkler online with real nostalgia. I LOVED the Wrinkler when I was a member of the club, even though I never owned a Basenji, and never will. The laughs, tears and depth of veterinary information that arrives in each issue is so very different from the same-old-same-old newsletters that come from my "own" breed clubs.
I must say that Basenjis are very different, as are the people who own them, but Susan M is a masterful editor and artist, and the entire production celebrates the breed and the people……......GARRETT O’DELL
