Susan, I am so sorry to read about Poe's passing, but glad he had a loving home during his last days. Gloria looks very happy and well loved!
Incidentally, the photo and information that helped track him and Gloria down were from my old web page, Puppy Parade. I'm glad it helped to save their lives -- it couldn't have been put to better use.

We so love Gloria and miss Poe. Gloria is the funniest girl, hip chucks the youngsters, just flat out flop falls in your lap, unrolls toilet paper to get a t.p. streaming parade going, and having a 2nd puppyhood.

Hi Susan. I've been meaning to write, but B&C take up all my time.
Our trip to Maine went very well. They whined for about 5-10 min in the car, but after that they settled down in the crate together. But no doubt these 2 are city dogs. For the first 2 days they pretty much curled up on the couch and refused to explore the grounds unless I dragged them out. Then Cybele was the first to get out of her shell and enjoy the beautiful grounds. Benji totally refused to get out of the house in the dark even though I had an industrial strength flashlight to show the way. Only the day before we headed back did he take off from the terrace with a dangling leash and ran towards the goats.
Overall, I now know they can go on trips fine in a crate.
