HOUSE FIRE. . . !

by Susan Kamen Marsicano {Wrinkler Editor}

This happened to our club members, Yvonne and Kees 't Mannetje. Happily, when this happened, they were away. at a lure coursing trial, so all 4 dogs and they are both fine.

As it unfolded for us, via social media:

For the first few days, camping out in their backyard.

This day was better. We started off with a very nice agility class, followed by a lunch with dear friends who made me laugh and cry and gave me this present to clean the house. Tomorrow morning our temp house will be delivered!!

Yvonne was able to take Lola to agility class, which was a good break from the stress for both of them.

The 1st part of the temporary home is in the yard and placed on the drive. Hard to get there, but it happens. Then 2nd part.

Entrance design.

Settled in.

Having visitors

The 1st stress is behind us, the dogs are settled, we can be warm and dry through the winter.
There is still a long way to go, but there has also been so much has happened! We have received so much help, without you, we would not be doing so well so quickly. Thank you, everyone, for the lovely messages, cards, phone calls, hugs and shoulders to cry on. Thanks for all the helping hands, the good tips, the laundry that could be rotated, the hot showers, good food, fun and support. Thanks for the sweet toys for the dogs, for the setting up and providing financial support, for all the gifts that we were surprised by, clothes, furniture. The saying goes: "in distress, you learn who your friends are".
We seem to have more friends than we thought!
Thank you all!
Kees & Yvonne with Ch'ami, Dana, Moyo and Lola
