Heard at the HIE lobby: "WHAT! Are they red foxes?"

Trog trying it out.

Jackie Dering

Luke can jump from behind the couch and land on the three inch wide back. Suck it Olympians!

Mary Beth Printsky

Mark to me as we are leaving to go out: "MB, don't shut the television off, Caesar likes to watch the basketball games while we are out."

Dennis Allen

Tippy and Stella have rid the canyon of evil stuffed animals that lurk in the bushes... .

Karen Christensen

In February
Tutu grabbed a wad of $1 bills I had put on my desk -- I think she's trying to make race entry money again, but she's outta luck with bit remaining and impending snow, ice, and frigid weather. Poor little racer bitch!

Carol Mount

Thank gawd the red basenji dog thinks snow is magical even if rain is evil.

Lotte Hotaling

I love getting up at 5am (old girl Aichia has to go out) and sitting in the dark quiet with a cup of coffee, watching a new day dawn.

Lisa Stewart

It's been at least 3 months since I left Trog unattended with Roomba.

Gloria Steiger

Azalea just said some horrible words to Bruce because he blocked her sunbeam.

So we're walking around getting food samples at the dog show and one of the venders was telling us about the benefits of a certain carbohydrate and how it would allow dogs to have energy all day long.

I looked at him and asked if he had anything that would just put a damper on that and take 'em down a few notches.

I couldn't keep a straight face.

Stashing Stuff for future use.

Karen Christensen - Yesterday, I saw Tutu standing in the donut bed and sliding the top of her snout along the bottom of it. I checked her & the bed, including the deep crease between the bottom and the roll and found nothing of concern so I left her alone. Just now I saw her doing it again and also poking her nose into the crease - where I found an inch-square scrap of fabric, looks like from a toy. She looked daggers at me when I picked it up, so I gave it to her and watched her dig vigorously, poke the scrap into the "hole," then do the snout-sliding cover-up job. I've seen my guys dig before, but not bury & cover. Now she's snarking at Ian for checking it out and, after unsuccessfully trying to bury it on the futon she's just brought it and dropped it on my foot.

Tutu & Rip

Dennis Allen - Stella does thing where she lightly pushes the dirt around with the tip of her nose? Makes very clean little rows. Basenji grading?

Natalie Culver - Obike "buries" his rawhide chew bone scraps in same fashion (not whole bones, just the hard earned well chewed little scraps) in clean piles of laundry & blankets upstairs. So funny/cute how he pokes a bit of blanket over the top with his nose. . He will also bury bits of chewed up Kleenex box this way. He is very possessive of his Kleenex box cardboard bits. Funny boy...

Karen Christensen - Tutu likes the butter box.
