A little red Basenji
Stood before the pearly gates
Waiting for Saint Peter
To announce his fate.
"Saint Peter," said the 'senji,
(Feeling a little wan)
"I know I've made a couple errors
But I'm sure you'll understand."
"SILENCE!" roared Saint Peter.
"You were a con-man and a liar.
The punishment for your misdeeds
Is everlasting fire!"
"However," he paused, "on second thought,
Instead of sending you to Hell.
I've got a better plan for you,
More suitable as well."
"I'm going to send you back to
Earth, so that you may atone,
And I'm going to make you human
With Basenjis of your own."
