A Rip Van Wrinkle T-Shirt gets quite an airing! by Peter Morant We just had to show you that your Wrinkles in the Catskills t-shirt has been on holidays with us, visiting some other wrinkled creatures (It attracted the attention of one of the other visitors at the elephant sanctuary, who use to live in the Catskills). We got into the river with the elephants at an elephant sanctuary near Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, where elephants have been rescued from a life of logging or doing tricks for tourists. At the sanctuary, they can just be elephants, albeit that wild elephants don't get washed and fed bananas by humans as these one are. The 30+ elephants share the place with about 50 dogs, some of whom were not unlike Basenjis, as Yvonne described in her article in the last Yodel. The elephants were kind enough to pose with us for a group.
FYI, the place the photos were taken the Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai, northern Thailand. We have just finished planning and booking a holiday in Sicily for October this year. Here’s what the shirt looks like. Would you guys like another set made? Let me know.
